ok here goes. I have 2 issues i am dealing with.
1st issue- I originally had a Sony VAIO that had the Giga Pocket program. I recently had to have a new motherboard installed and now my problem is that i cannot get the TV tuner to work. My computer wont even recongize that it is installed. I have tried going to Sony to get drivers for this card but no luck. Since i now have parts that are non Sony i cant get the drivers or programs that i need. I have researched this problem on other sites over the past few months and from what i have read i may be out of luck. It seems that the sony TV tuner card may only work with sony motherboards. But since i recently joined this site i thought i would ask here.
Here are some model #'s and info about my current PC
tuner card-PCVA-IMB5A, another number located on a rectangle box which is on the card is BTF-PA4027.
This is also on the card MPEG II A/V Encoder CX23416-22
Motherboard-Biostar P4M900-M4 ver 6.x
Windows XP home edition version 2002 service pack 2
Pentium 4 CPU 3.00 GHz

When my original motherboard crashed i didnt have a copy of Windows xp (windows was installed for me at the computer shop that replaced my motherboard). Recently i had to re-installed XP. I got a copy from a friend and used my product key from my original sony purchase. After i installed XP 2002 version, I am unable to get audio. It shows that i have dont have a audio device connected. I am using the rear panel connections from my motherboard.
Thank you for reading. I know this is kind of long. I appreciate all replies.
